In 2010, Angie (my wife) and I started a small business called Happy Little Monsters. She made really cute hair bows and I made birthday invitations and birth announcements. It was a fun gig. We launched a web site, had an Etsy store, and attended some local craft shows. We did work for a lot of people and made some money. Then, our third son was born. Needless to say, we were not ready! (We really thought we were, but we were sorely mistaken!) Now with 3 boys (and a dog), our world turn upside down, albeit in a good way. 🙂
Happy Little Monsters suddenly became… difficult to do. See, we both still had full-time jobs. And now we had a newborn baby keeping us awake at night. Unfortunately, Happy Little Monsters became a victim of inattention and neglect. We decided we had to close shop in early 2012.
Fast forward six years, and Happy Little Monsters is back! Our third son is now 6, so he is a little more self reliant these days. Plus his 2 big brothers help out as well. Things are running smooth in the household again, so it was time to relaunch this little endeavor.
This time around, Angie is only providing creative consulting. No more hair bows. 🙁 But that’s OK. She has some great ideas! Instead of hair bows, we now sell some cute t-shirts for kids and toddlers. In addition to all the birth announcements and invitations we sold before. We really hope you find something you like! 🙂
